Conventional Wisdom?

Today over at Blogs 4 Brownback I briefly examine a meme that has been bothering me ever since I became a Brownbacker. There's this idea being promoted out there as conventional "wisdom" that Sam Brownback is too conservative and because of this GOP voters are flocking to The Three RINOs, aka Rudy McRomney.

So, is Sam Brownback too conservative? If you think selling out your conservative values to get an "electable" candidate that you will regret if elected, then the answer is probably yes. You be the judge.

More Censorship at MyDD

After my MyDD diary disappeared I was fuming. I tried to comment on another post, but I found that my commenting privileges had been revoked.

My roommate noticed and wondered what was up with me. I explained it to him and he logged in and left a comment on my behalf. The diarist was asking how a diary is promoted to a "recommended diary." My roomate commented thus:
Tell me about it. My roommate, the original Psycheout, had a diary up for something like 24-36 hours and it had 59 comments at last check. He said it had some great discussion going on and it seems to have disappeared.

It had more comments than any other diary on the front page including the "recommended diaries", but it didn't make the cut.

Not only that, but while he can still log in, he can't comment (which is why I had to create an account, heh) or create a new diary.

I guess it's probably because he's a conservative (ie wingnut) who had a post up about Sam Brownback. But he also commented about the Democratic frontrunners and was actually very polite about it.

Is this site only for Democrats who toe the line or something?

He's really pissed off right now. I think he's going to blow a gasket! lol.

His original diary was at

We Need the Best Candidates -- Sam Brownback Is One

Billy (Psycheout2)

P.S. I'm liberal. lol!
His comment, and I assume his account, were deleted within the hour. So much for the "tolerance" of the lefty blogosphere. I've heard them whine and complain (my roommate too, heh) that many of the prominent righty blogs either don't allow comments or delete anything that doesn't conform to their point of view. Well, this just goes to show that the leftist blogs, MyDD specifically, are no better. The word "hypocracy" comes immediately to mind.

My liberal roommate was a little surprised. I think his eyes were opened tonight. The left really do love their echo chambers and they absolutely hate dissent. Don't let them fool you.

Screw them.

Psycheout Banned from MyDD

MyDD supposedly stands for "My Direct Democracy." I originally thought it stood for "My Daily Diary" or "My Due Dilligence." But all three of these are wrong. MyDD actually means "My Democrat Democracy."

It's a "DEMOCRATS ONLY" club. No dissenters need apply. Not that you can tell when you sign up or when you read the front page. Here, and at any blog I ever write for, you can say anything you want as long as you don't use profanity. I believe there's value in having an open exchange between divergent points of view. Just don't be a potty mouth.

All two or three of you who have seen this blog (not including my cats) probably know that, in observance of Sam Brownback Day, I reached out to the left-of-center community and posted up a diary on MyDD entitled "We Need the Best Candidates — Sam Brownback Is One." Don't bother clicking that link. It's dead. Dead as a doornail. My diary and all 59+ comments along with my account have been sent down the leftist memory hole. Orwell would be proud. Very proud.

Read about the whole sordid tale over at Blogs 4 Brownback (hopefully it won't be deleted there). It includes my original MyDD diary and details how I was banned as well as my correspondence with the less than tolerant webmaster. I won't reveal his name, but his initials are C.B. Breaker, breaker good buddy!

Moral of the story: Anything you post on any website as a guest can disappear at any time. That's why G-d made text editors and txt files!

Have a great day, night, life or whatever.
